Comparison of Blade and Needle Tenotomy for Treatment of Residual Equinus in Idiopathic Clubfoot.


 Background: Tenotomy for residual equinus is commonly required in the management idiopathic club. The need to reduce complication and cost has made advancement from mini open needle tenotomy. This even more pertinent low- middle-income country where clubfoot common. study compared outcome of blade tenotomy club foot.
 Patients Methods: it a prospective randomized patient requiring July 2015 June 2020 at tertiary Orthopediccenter.
 Results:A rate 60 percent was noted. It involves thirty-one patients with forty-three feet were include study. mean follow up 27,1 months. There no significant difference correction. Three had relapse deformity, two group one group. All resolved by further manipulation.
 Conclusion: Needle offers similar less expensive acceptable those scared surgical blade.
